Hats off to Pearl EINTOU Springer, Norvan Fullerton and all other parties and participants that united in bringing into fruition the re-enactment of the Camboulay Riots.
For several years now Eintou has been championing the cause for this re-enactment.
The author of this article though not present and as yet not able to see the entire re-broadcast,knows tha it was successful at all levels.
The petitions made by the masses to free us from an unjust government has been heard.
This year’s re-enact is an offering well accepted by the loa.
For many years Eintou have been attracted to the loa. Many of her poetry and opening of events in which she have been involved bears witness and testimony to her devotion to Legba.
Time and more experience has empowered her to fulfill her desire to make the appeal with more effectiveness.
The re-enactment is also a soothing balm to all of us after the effects of the 7.0 magnitude earthquake tha struck HAITI on12th.January,2010.
The editor of this site and awon elegbe Egbe Onisin Eledumare give thanks to all those who worked along with Eintou and Norbert Fullerton, including Ministries of Culture,Gender Affairs and Community Development;and Education to ensure the success of the event.
To make the event even more effective it was staged in the South and in the North.
Thanks for all those who held on to the vision and attempted to make it reality while others did not yet see the vision.
Thanks everyone who also continued work in their arena to ensure the overall success of this year’s Carnival.
Thanks for the acknowledgement that through the use of our African Spirituality and sacred science that our Ancestors and forebears were able to liberate themselves and pave a path for our own struggle for TOTAL EMANCIPATION AND LIBERATION.
People of HAITI this too is your Victory.
May thecelebration grow from strength to strength.Aase!

  1. Agreements with the Chief’s sentiments. Congratulations to Elder Eintou and Norvan Fullerton for the excellent work in the staging of the Canboulay Riots and in the insistence of it being part of the nation’s calender. Now we need to also reanimate the Hosay Riots too to further commemorate a signal decade in our nation’s history in the 1880s.
