As several organizations hosted different African cultural events over this past weekend ,Egbe Onisin Eledumare participated in some while still hosting it’s own ASE ODUN SANGO 2010.
The ASE ODUN SANGO 2010 was opened at the International Headquarters of EGBE ONISIN ELEDUMARE currently under reconstruction.
After formal salutations and blessings fronm the presiding priestess of Sango, participants jorneyed to D’Eau Blanc in Diego Martin. in the North Western region of County St. George, Ile – Iere – Republic Trinidad & Tobago.
Utilising modern technology link up was made to Nigeria, and Kabiyesi Obaa Isese Agbaye – Erinsiba I made the preliminary incantations and invocations to OLUWERI.
The leader of the Egbe omo orisa Esu of Egbe Onisin Eledumare along with other women Elders and priestesses conducted the rituals to Esu, and received support and blessings.
The women gathered,then took leave of the men and went downhill to the river where several rituals were performed and items offered for and on behalf of all Mothers,women, EGBE ONISIN ELEDUMARE,the Nation of Republic Trinidad & Tobago,orisa devotees and practioners worldwide,etc. etc.
After the women fulfilled their rituals on behalf of the community they rejoined the men and several powers came down.
At this point Iyalorisa Sangowumi – Chief Origi Oba Gunle joined the gathering.
Priestess Sangowumi was also introduced to the young participants and she pronounced her blessings on them.
Food was shared and participants headed back to the International Headquarters of EGBE ONISIN ELEDUMARE where the Traditional rites from return of this ritual was performed.
The Festival continued over the next two days.
