AFRICAN HISTORY MONTH 2013 ILE IERE ATI ILE ALOUBERA

After the indignities, trauma and pain of the Trans Atlantic journey that treated our people as cattle, hogs or property, Africans continued to engage their lives and spaces with a sense of dignity that was not thought to be possible under such humiliating circumstances and situations.

Africans in the Diaspora began with the cooperation of the First Nations peoples/ communities, where they now became domicile, to master their environments, and to once again set their lives on course.

Many have been the accomplishments from these Africans of the Diaspora.

One arena in which we excelled and still excel is sports.

In Brasil,  EDSON ARANTES do NASCIMENTO known worldwide as PELE, became the King of the Football world.

This post is a tribute to KING PELE.
