Trinidad & Tobago is the center of focus for this year’s Festival del Caribe to be held in Santiago de Cuba, CUBA from July 3rd – July 9th. , 2011.

This is the 31st Festival in which Trinidad & Tobago multi – ethnic culture will be highlighted. This site has been attempting to gather and garnish information as to our governments plans , but thus far we have been unsuccessful. However credit must be given to our new Ambassador to Cuba  Her Excellency Jennifer Kernahan , who have been making available whatever information on the Festival to those making inquiries.

It is hoped by the Administrators of this site that the First Nation peoples and the the Traditional African Religions will be adequately represented at the Festival in Cuba.

We know that in recent times it has been customary to highlight our French, Spanish antecedents to our current culture; and that calypso, soca, chutney , chowtaal ,limbo, pan  ” mas ” are fairly well represented.

We are interested in knowing the governments line up of artistes, representation repertoire and the general line  of presentation and showcasing that our government intends to take. W e would like to encourage visitors to this site to make their suggestions as to the items of our culture that we should highlight to the world at that Festival.

We anxiously await the governments proposal.
