On Sunday 10th. January ,2016, Egbe Onisin Eledumare , will host its regular Ijuba that is convened on the nearest approved Sunday to the New Moon.
This year the Ijuba will run concurrently with events taking place at Ita Oosa. On Saturday, Ojise Obatala Edena – Oloye Oriyomi Ifagbenjo Orisagbemi ati Oloye Orawale Oranfe Ife discussed the situation of the simultaneous events and amicably agreed to the present arrangements.The advice of Orisa through dida obi was also sought and the both organizations Ita Oosa and Egbe Onisin Eledumare will blend their energies during the course of each others events.
Members of Egbe Onisin Eledumare will be out in their full strength to support Ojise Obatala and Ita Oosa on Saturday 9th January, 2016 as Obatala procession goes through the neighbouring community where Ita Oosa is located at 51 Alberto Street, Woodbrook.
Sunday 10th January will see members of Egbe Onisin Eledumare engage rituals to welcome thee third New Moon since their Odun Ijesu ati Iwude Ogun. Odun Ijesu at which the organization celebrates Orisa Oko and the Ancestors, marks the beginning of the Ritual Year at Egbe Onisin Eledumare.
Egbe Onisin Eledumare utilises several calendar systems to determine the dates for it’s Festivals and spiritual activities and always involve the opinion of the celestial intelligences as they determine the dates for their spiritual activities and events.
As we celebrate our Ijuba we invite the participation of all wishing to attend.
Persons wishing to participate are asked to dress elegantly royal and to conduct themselves with honour and decorum.
Items of offering are accepted and may include: white rum,red rum,gin,vodka, kola nuts, bitter cola, efun, and other items accepted by the Orisa.
May the example set hereby Ita Oosa and Egbe Onisin Eledumare be adopted by other shrines/awon kpaale/awon Egbe etc.
