E KU ODUN!

Another cycle is presenting itself to us.EGBE ONISIN ELEDUMARE is curreently preparing to host it’s ASE ODUN OLOKUN for calendar year 2010.

This year the ASE ODUN OLOKUN will be hosted in MAYARO, which is located at the South Eastern corner of TRINIDAD.

MAYARO is one of the original eight Counties of Republic Trinidad & Tobago, and is also the first area to be settled on the East  coast of Trinidad.

EGBE ONISIN ELEDUMARE has previously held rituals to OLOKUN along the contry’s East coast at GRAND LAGOON.

The preferred color for this years ‘s ASE ODUN OLOKUN is white; devotees and participants representing other shrines or egbe are free however to use their shrine’s colors.

Devotees who are prohibited from using white may use the color associated with their orisa.

Victuals that may be offered include: molasses, sugar cane, honey, efun, obi ifin, agbado, ripe fried plantains, water melons, and food items cooked without salt.

E kabo!Alaafia! Thanks for your visit to our site and for taking time to register your interest in knowledge on orisa, particularly Yemoja.I suggest the best way to know orisa is through initiation. If you are just seeking data and written information there may be several options open to the acquisition of this data and information. One book I can recommend is Yemonja – Tranquil Sea,Turbulent Tides by Chief Lloyd Weaver and Olurunmi Egbelade published by Athelia Henrietta Press Inc. I hope that this information is helpful.Oloye Orawale Oranfe

    Ala-afia Baba,
I am reconnecting with my people in T&T. I attended the Olokun Festival in 2001. I am planning to return to the inland soon. Can you tell Bandele I appreciate the guided tours around the inland.

Peace and Love with Harmony Present, Nfr-Tm
