PREPARATIONS AFOOT FOR ASE ODUN OLOKUN 2014

OLOKUN 2014 1

Another year has passed by. We give thanks for spared life and for the success of last year’s ASE ODUN OLOKUN 2013.

Our Festival saved the coastline of Moruga from the negative environmental impact that resulted from the oil spills that plagued our coastline and wetlands on the south western penisula of Trinidad.

These oil spills were detected on December 17th.,2013 at the Petrotrin Pointe – a – Pierre Port.

PETROTRIN

The spill had severe negative impact on the ecology of the area and impacted  significantly on the earnings of fisherfolk in the area and on the public beyond.

It is in our attempt to make our public aware of the critical need to safeguard our coastal environment and to protect the life forms, aquatic, marine and vegetable that we host ASE ODUN OLOKUN.

YEARLY WE GIVE THANKS TO THE COSMIC ENERGIES RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAING ECOLOGICAL AND MARITIME EQUILBRIUM IN OUR TWIN ISLANDS REPUBLIC.

We have highlighted on several occassions the dire need to treat with respect our total environment. As an island we are particularly impacted by imbalance in our maritime ecology and environment.

EGBE ONISIN ELEDUMARE have taken our Festival over the years to various locations in Trinidad. We have also noted over the years that Republic Trinidad & Tobago was blessed with have several Chieftain titles related to OLOKUN bestowed on our citizens among them the recently transited former President and Prime Minister of Republic Trinidad & Tobago –  Arthur Napoleon Robinson who held the title of Chief Olokun Igbaro.

We shall be posting more updates as we draw closer to our Festival. Please keep abreast
