Once again Egbe Onisin Eledumare is making preparations to celebrate ASE ODUN OLOKUN. The ASE ODUN OLOKUN was added to the calendar of Orisa Festivities in Republic Trinidad & Tobago when Chief/Dr. Osemwegie Ebohon introduced Olokun devotion to awon elegbe Egbe Onisin Eledumare at a conference hosted by Egbe Onisin Eledumare at the Valsayn Teachers College in 1987. From then and onwards Egbe Onisin Eledumare hosted an annual Festival for Olokun, while refining the ritual celebrations for Olokun. The Festival is now part of the National calendar of Festivals in the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago and the event have been attended by many International guests over the years who have ben delighted to know that Orisa devotees in Republic Trinidad & Tobago revere and celebrate OLOKUN .
As we begin preparations this year for the grand day of the Festival which shall be staged from Nelson Island an island of major historical significance to all citizens of Republic Trinidad & Tobago; we invite Olokun devotees to join us on the days consecrated for Olokun devotion to make iwure, se orisa and give votive items preparing ourselves and deity for the grand day.
