ORISA DEVOTEES SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE ASE ODUN OLOKUN 2012 AT MARIANNE BEACH, BLANCHISSEUSE

In a small and tiny village of just about two thousand inhabitants ,orisa devotees led by EGBE ONISIN  ELEDUMARE, conducted their annual tribute to OLOKUNOrisa of Salvation to Africans transported forcibly to the Americas and the Caribbean.

EGBE ONISIN ELEDUMARE , has been the first Orisa organization in Trinidad & Tobago to address the deity/ orisa of the Sea/ Oceans as OLOKUN.

The organization has successfully hosted several annual Festivals to OLOKUN in several locations across the length and breath of the island of Trinidad. The organization is yet to host one of it’s ASE ODUN OLOKUN in Tobago.

On Saturday 27th. October,2012, devotees from East, West, North ,Central and SouthTrinidad & Tobago gathered in the scenic and tiny village of Blanchisseuse to pay respects to the magnificent diety of Sea, Ocean, Wetlands, Swamplands, Maritime and coastal environments to give thanks for good received,and to draw upon the knowledge wisdom and beauty of this orisa.

Among personsgathered were representatives of the First Nation Community  – the Karina ,whose Pai Atakosang participated in the rituals empowering the Orisa devotees to successfully utilise this Caribbean gate to OLOKUN.

Members of the COUNCIL OF TRADITIONAL AFRIKAN CHIEFS OF TRINIDAD & TOBAGO  also participated.

Among the Chiefs were Iyalode Awo Agbaye – Oloye Ifakorede Oyayemi Aworeni, Oloye Ogunrinola Ogunrinola Ife, Yeye Agbamoola Olomitutu – Oloye Omotaiwo Ogunlade and Oloye Orawale Oranfe.

Oluwo Ogunmuyiwa – Head of the first institued Ogboni Society in Republic Trinidad & Tobago also gave of his support and blessings at the ritual.

Oba Isese Agbaye – Erinsinba I -Oba Olusino Adekoya also made incantations and gave blessings as the rituals were being conducted.

Messages also came from Ojise Obatala ,Edena,Ile Ife – Oloye Oriyomi Orisagbemi

Among shrines represented were Ile Isokan, Ege Omo Oduduwa, Ile Ijosin Otura Meji – Awon Osun, Ile Osun/ Obatala,Eko Ile Osun/ Sango Mi’Losa and of course the host organization EGBE ONISIN ELEDUMARE.

We wish to thank the Santa Rosa Community, Movement for Social Justice, Emancipation Support Committee, and all other groups and persons who supported our efforts.

As  Egbe Onisin Eledumare , continues it’s pioneering work in the field of reclaimation of our Ancient sacred sciencetheologies and practice, WE KNOW WE SHALL BE VICTORIOUS OVER ALL AND ANY COUNTERPRODUCTIVE AND DETERRING FORCES,SITUATIONS AND ELEMENTS.

 We have obsered that there has been a growing number of persons in our islands receiving OLOKUN.  Very fewof these persons may even be aware of the pioneering role that EGBE ONISIN ELEDUMARE, has played in openig the way for the return.re- entry, re-establishment, re -introduction into our psychic and spiritual space.We hope that all Olokun devotees, will come together as ONE for next years fstival.

OUR SACRED TRADITIONS ALWAYS PAY RESPECT TO THOSE WHO HAVE PAVED AND OPENED THE WAY FOR US.
